The new capacitive sensor system capaNCDT 6228 consists of the capacitive high temperature sensors capaNCDT CSE/HT and the capaNCDT 6228 controller. The sensor system is designed for high temperature applications up to +800 °C. It is also used to measure the thickness of glowing hot brake discs and to monitor the level of float glass.
Up to four sensors can be connected to the high-performance controller simultaneously. In addition, the available sensors cover measuring ranges from 1 mm to 20 mm.
A high-temperature sensor cable compensates for interference caused by electrical or magnetic fields. Furthermore, the measured data is output both analog and digital via modern interfaces such as Ethernet and EtherCAT.
